Luke's is a true story of a dog (Shethand Sheepdog - Sheltie) who gets lost, hit by a car and left for dead, found, and the struggle to get him healthy again. Many people helped search for Luke, assisted in his rescue, and aided in his recovery.
Luke's struggles were many; it's a miracle he survived. Although not as healthy as he was before, Luke manages to move while using a walker/cart, eats, and plays with his other sheltie "siblings". He's a inspiration for all; his fight to survive and live his life as best he can shows others the importance of never giving up hope.

Books about "real" people have always interested me. Many books are written about celebrities, politicians, and historical figures, but we forget everyday individuals also have intriguing, fascinating, and complicated lives. We all have a life story to tell...and the happy, sad, frightening paths we've taken mold us into who we are today.
My ghostwritten, nonfiction book is a story of one woman's journey of courage, survival, heartache, and inner strength while experiencing the chaos, dangers, and trials of living in Sarajevo during the Bosnian War (1992-1995)...and after.
